Characterized by an intriguing softness, as witnessed in small details such as decorative elements on the figure's clothing and headwear, the feminine form also offers a inherent strength, which Michielssen says runs through the entire collection. The hands and eyes, too, play a central and familiar role in the image of this character, further emphasizing a mood of humanity and kindness. The result is a clay vessel that is equal parts muted and impactful — this small, wide version, 'Les Femmes 02', is presented in beige and has a transparent matte glaze applied to both the interior and base.
