The Banana Madeira Pitcher combines functional serving design with detailed ceramic artistry inspired by tropical banana trees. Its sculptural surface recreates the textures of bark and leaves through careful hand-finishing techniques. The ceramic construction ensures reliable pouring performance, while the botanical detailing brings natural character to beverage service.
World renowned interior designer Nini Andrade Silva has teamed up with Bordello Pinheiro to develop the 'Banana Madeira' collection, an ode to the designer's birthplace. Here, the island's iconic banana trees are celebrated through a series of ceramic tableware pieces in which their dark wrinkled barks, large verdant leaves and delicate stems are painstakingly recreated for a tropical dining table layout. This pitcher forms one part of the award winning collection, which in 2020 won both a German Design Award and the Iconic Awards Innovative Interior category.
