The Platner Armchair features an iconic wire base construction, built from reinforced stainless steel rods welded to horizontal and edge framing wire for a uniquely stable foundation. Its softly curved seat and back are upholstered in indigo blue velvet, combining the tactile warmth of the fabric with the structural precision of the chrome base. The welded rod framework distributes weight evenly while maintaining the chair's distinctive rounded silhouette, originally conceived in the 1960s.
