The Platner Armchair features an iconic wire base construction originally designed in the 1960s, built from reinforced stainless steel rods welded to horizontal and edge framing wire for a uniquely stable foundation. Its gun metal black base contrasts with the graphite grey velvet upholstery, while the curved silhouette is supported by the precision of the welded wire framework. The velvet seat and backrest provide a soft surface finish over the sculptural steel structure.
