The Platner Armchair features an iconic wire base construction originally designed in the 1960s, built from reinforced stainless steel rods welded to horizontal and edge framing wire for a uniquely stable foundation. Its softly curved seat and back are upholstered in Empress Green velvet, providing a tactile contrast to the structured metalwork beneath. The gun metal black base offers a darker, matte-toned finish while preserving the geometric precision of the wire frame design.
