The DS 600 modular sofa features a sectional construction of narrow interlocking elements, allowing the configuration to be extended or reshaped as needed. Designed by Ueli Berger in 1972 and inspired by the mythical alpine Tatzelwurm, the sofa's continuous, serpentine form is achieved through its modular joinery rather than fixed framing. The velvet upholstery in onyx black adds a dense, light-absorbing texture to the low-slung silhouette, while the Combination B arrangement provides a distinct seating layout suited to larger groupings.
