The Grand Modele three-seat sofa features a 'cushion basket' construction, a concept developed by the Le Corbusier group in 1928 as a modernist reinterpretation of the traditional club chair. Its top grain leather cushions rest within an exposed chrome steel frame, reversing conventional sofa structures by placing the frame on the exterior rather than concealing it within upholstery. The down-filled cushions provide a soft, yielding seat, while the polished chrome steel frame adds a refined industrial contrast to the black leather.
