The Saarinen Executive Side Chair, also known as the Time-Life Chair, combines thick cashmere cushioning in Imperial Red with a walnut wood leg base for a warm material contrast. The generously sized seat and back provide substantial support, while the tilt, swivel, and height-adjustment mechanisms allow flexible positioning. Walnut legs add a natural grain texture that grounds the upholstered form. Originally designed in 1960 for the Time-Life Building, the chair reflects Saarinen's focus on ergonomic comfort within a cohesive sculptural structure.
