The Saarinen Executive Side Chair draws on Eero Saarinen's early 1930s work with organically-shaped plywood forms, which earned recognition at MoMA's 1940 Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition. That research informed a design focused on exceptional comfort and ergonomic support, resulting in a generously proportioned seat with thick, plush cushioning. The steel legs provide a sturdy, refined base that contrasts with the soft cashmere-wheat grey upholstery, while the chair's tilting and swivelling mechanism supports natural movement.
