The Ball Chair features a distinctive spherical fiberglass shell that encloses the sitter in a self-contained, cocoon-like form. Originally designed by Eero Aarnio in 1963, the construction uses fiberglass for its free-forming, elastic properties, allowing the rounded shape to be achieved with structural integrity. The interior is upholstered in boucle wool in yellow, providing a textured surface, while the glossy black fiberglass exterior delivers a bold contrast finish.
