The Ball Chair features a distinctive spherical fiberglass shell that encloses the sitter on three sides, creating a self-contained seating environment. Originally designed by Eero Aarnio in 1963, the fiberglass construction provides a rigid yet lightweight form with a smooth glossy black exterior finish. The interior is upholstered in ocean-toned boucle wool, offering a textured, tactile surface with natural insulating properties. The enclosed shell shape reduces ambient noise and visual distraction, while the rounded base allows for a gentle swivelling motion.
