The Ball Chair features a distinctive spherical fiberglass shell, originally designed by Eero Aarnio in 1963 and unveiled at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne in 1966. The fiberglass construction provides a free-formed, elastic structure that encloses the sitter on three sides, creating a self-contained seating environment. The interior is upholstered in a textured boucle wool in a copper tone, while the exterior shell is finished in a glossy white lacquer.
