The 16 inch extreme empire shade combines a hand-painted Marquee card construction with a pronounced empire silhouette suited to a range of lamp bases. Its French blue finish is applied by hand, producing a rich surface tone with natural variation characteristic of painted card. The firm card structure maintains the shade's angled form while supporting the integrity of the decorative surface.
