The Bollicosa Nautilus Pendant Lamp celebrates traditional glass blowing techniques with its distinctive sphere design. The artisan's blow creates surface bubbles that provide a rough, matte texture while adding subtle opacity to the fumé glass. Its polypropylene cord net construction suits outdoor applications, and the hand-blown craftsmanship ensures each piece carries unique characteristics from the production process.
A classic sphere that continues a glass blowing tradition, Cassina's 'Bollicosa' pendant lamp is a celebration of all the complexities and nuances that arise from the production technique. One such characteristic is a surface texture defined by the bubbles of the artisan's blow, which is present here and offers a rough and matte effect that also brings a slight opacity to the fumé and green lamp, which is enveloped by a polypropylene cord net in this outdoor version of the light source.
