One component of Vincent Van Duysen's 'Outdoor' collection for Serax — created when the designer was commissioned to convert the monastery of the former military hospital in Antwerp into a hotel — is its series of minimalist chairs. A tangible link between the history of that environment and Van Duysen's modern interpretation, the aluminium chairs are inspired by monastic life while presenting the durability and modern-day comfort required of a contemporary furniture piece. Suited to both indoor and outdoor use, this set of two light green chairs offers low, wide proportions that lend themselves to an updated aesthetic. The cushion is not included, but is purchasable separately below.
