Created in collaboration with artist Ivo Bisignano for Serax, the series journeys from the table to the outside, visually revisiting Bisignano's childhood home of Sicily where 'Testa di Moro' — colorful flower pots in the shape of crowned heads — are an important and striking part of the landscape. Here, they manifest with a surrealistic twist, with fish as pillars, lakes as fish, and mountains as kings and queens. The hand-painted stoneware 'Sicily 04' vase presents a short and fat open mouthed bird-shaped vessel that is simultaneously a cheerful ode to a distinctly Sicilian aesthetic and Ottolenghi’s bold cooking style.
