The Salt Vase features pasta grés chamotada, a highly textured clay body that creates distinctive surface character. Metallic salts added during firing produce gentle color gradients across the cobalt blue finish, while the spherical shape takes on a compelling, planetary appearance. This small vase results from collaboration between designers Ladies & Gentlemen Studio and ceramicist João Lourenço, combining traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary design.

Pasta grés chamotada — a highly textured clay body — forms the base of the 'Salt Vase' series, the result of a beautiful experiment between producers Origin Made, designers Ladies & Gentlemen Studio and ceramicist João Lourenço. Adding metallic salts to the firing of this material, Lourenço has created a duo of vases that are defined by gentle gradients of color, here in a bright yet earthy orange, which, in conjunction with the vessel's spherical shape, takes on a compelling, planetary guise.
