The Giant Wake Vase offers sculptural appeal with its dramatic silhouette that conveys movement and fluidity. Crafted from pure ceramic, its creases, bends and curves create a compelling form that captures light and shadow. The pink finish adds warmth to any surface, while the substantial construction ensures lasting durability.
Crafted from pure ceramic, this pink vessel is taken from Completedworks' 'Fold' collection, which — through ceramics, pearls and precious stones — traces elements of choreography while simultaneously alluding to chance and serendipity. In 'Giant Wake', creases, bends and curves are combined for a dramatic silhouette that conveys movement and fluidity, and also nods to the application of drapery in the history of painting. In using various types of folds to communicate different narratives, 'Giant Wake' and the wider collection, reflects a conceptual, theme-based approach and presents a compelling observation on memory, society, consumerism.
