The Post Scriptum Curved Container offers functional storage with hand-painted graffito decoration. Its sporadic black paint stroke-like flecks cover the majority of the exterior and lid, while the bisque porcelain construction ensures lasting quality. The ceramic chalk crayon technique creates consistent yet unique patterns that are permanently fired into the surface.
Conceived by research-based design studio Formafantasma for Cassina, the 'Post Scriptum' collection brings together a series of hand-painted porcelain objects. Inspired by silhouettes found in the extensive Ginori Manufactory archives, the designers have applied a contemporary facelift to a family of familiar shapes in the form of graphic 'graffito' decorations. This is achieved through hand drawing each graffito pattern onto bisque porcelain with ceramic chalk crayons and firing the surface to set the pattern. On this curved container, the grafitto pattern takes shape as a series of tightly packed black paint stroke-like flecks for a sporadic but consistent decoration that covers a majority of the exterior and lid.
