The Matchbooks Wall Art features an illustrative style rooted in the colorful and personal aesthetic of artist Larsen McDowell. Its hand-crafted visual quality reflects an imperfect, storybook-inspired approach, with vivid tones and expressive linework. The piece brings a distinctive artistic character through its layered composition and painterly detail.
About Larsen McDowell As a young artist, Larsen McDowell fell in love with children's book illustration, and hoped to eventually pursue it as a career. Though her art took a different direction, it is clearly influenced by the delight and wonder of storybooks - Larsen describes her own painting style as colorful, imperfect, and personal.
