The Landfall Matchbook Wall Art features an illustrative style rooted in the colorful and personal aesthetic of artist Larsen McDowell, whose work draws influence from children's book illustration. Its imperfect, hand-crafted quality gives the piece a distinctive character, with expressive brushwork and a vibrant blue palette. The composition reflects a storybook-inspired sensibility, combining whimsy with a painterly finish.
About Larsen McDowell As a young artist, Larsen McDowell fell in love with children's book illustration, and hoped to eventually pursue it as a career. Though her art took a different direction, it is clearly influenced by the delight and wonder of storybooks - Larsen describes her own painting style as colorful, imperfect, and personal.
