The Brooklyn Candle Co. Palo Santo Glass Candle features a woody fragrance profile developed in collaboration with perfumers to recreate the richness of the sacred Palo Santo tree. Top notes of cedar and mint open into middle notes of cypress and eucalyptus, with warm base notes of sandalwood and amber anchoring the scent. The formula is infused with eucalyptus, peppermint, and cedarwood essential oils, carried in a glass vessel with a cotton wick. For an even burn, allow the wax pool to reach the edges on the first light, and trim the wick to 1/4–1/2" before each subsequent use.
Palo Santo (Woody): We spent months collaborating with perfumers on a scent that truly recreates and honors the deep, woody richness of the sacred Palo Santo ("holy wood") tree native to Peru, Ecuador, and many Central and South American countries. Since the Incan era, the fragrant wood has been ritualistically burned to cleanse a space of bad energy, and the oil is said to have purifying and healing properties. Our rendition features calming top notes of cedar and mint, middle notes of cypress, and eucalyptus, and warm base notes of sandalwood and amber. This candle is infused with eucalyptus, peppermint, and cedarwood essential oils. For the best burn experience, keep the following in mind: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge; for a larger candle, this may take several hours. Wax has " memory," so if it is extinguished with a partial pool, that will prevent a full, even pool from forming in the future. Trim your wick each time you light the candle, removing any " bloom" from the previous burn. We recommend lighting a wick that is 1/4-1/2" in length. Do not allow wick trimmings, dust, or other materials to accumulate in the wax pool. Ensure that your candle is placed on a heat-safe surface. Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains to prevent damages to surfaces.
