The Stegreif vase combines angular design with hand-applied glazing techniques. This white piece with blue highlights features fine bone china construction that provides lasting quality and smooth finish. The spontaneous glazing process creates distinct characteristics for each vessel, while the angular form adds contemporary appeal to any space.
In creating the 'Stegreif' vase collection, German ceramicist Johannes Nagel concentrated on the impromptu and spontaneous character of a series of pieces that were each created to the same design directive. The resulting lineup, produced in collaboration with 1882 Ltd, presents a family of fine bone china vessels, such as this angular white piece with blue highlights, which all offer their own distinct characteristics born from a process in which colored glaze is applied by hand.
