Its ceramic grinding mechanism engages with a clockwise motion, while the grind adjustment button allows the coarseness to be set from coarse to fine by tightening or loosening. Compatible with black peppercorns or dry rock salt up to 4mm in size; not suitable for sea salt, wet salt, or pink peppercorns.
