<p>Journey to the heart of Romania’s historic Transylvania region and you’ll find the charming city of Sibiu, where, following in the country’s rich folk pottery tradition, our Dragos Servebowl was made. This stunning dish began as a lump of locally-sourced clay, which a skilled artisan hand-formed into a simple, no-frills shape on a potter’s wheel. From there, it was coated with a lush green glaze and hand-painted with traditional designs in a deep navy blue hue, inspired by the details found on an authentic piece of 18th-century Transylvanian pottery. Finally, the entire piece, natural clay exterior and all, was then covered with a smooth, glossy glaze, creating a one-of-a-kind finished product that’s as practical as it is pretty.
