The Eye Teapot combines handcrafted artistry with distinctive vintage imagery, featuring a stylized eye design from John Derian's antique collection. Its black terracotta construction with signature milky white glaze creates a striking contrast, while the hand-formed shape reflects traditional pottery methods. Each piece offers unique character through individual craftsmanship, and the ceramic material provides excellent heat retention for tea service. W21 x D10 x H13 cm.

Elegant yet eerie, the Eye Teapot pairs a 19th century-inspired pottery design with a slightly strange antique image. This delicate dish comes to us from renowned ceramicist Astier de Villatte’s Paris workshop, housed in what was once the atelier of Napoleon’s own silversmith. There, this piece was handcrafted from black terracotta following old school methods passed down for generations. Besides the brand’s signature milky white glaze, it features a stylized vintage drawing of an eye, taken from celebrated designer John Derian’s expansive compilation of antique images. Perfectly imperfect, we think it would make a wonderfully weird addition to any tabletop or tea service.

•black terracotta clay
•white glaze
•vintage image
•handwash only
•not microwave safe
•astier de villatte in collaboration with john derian
•handmade in paris
•each is unique

Dimensions

•8.25"W x 4"D x 5"H
