About the Art:Michaelangelo’s David is segmented and staggered, his eyes drawing the focus of the viewer. The sculpture is in grayscale with the exception of the iris, which is a vivid aqua. Each section is depicted in monochromatic tones, and a hatched texture adds textural interest to the work. The background is black, which contrasts with the tones found in the statue.
