Our Pointes Pillow brings a pop of antique elegance wherever it goes. This lovely layer is covered in a beautifully patterned linen fabric from Antoinette Poisson — a Paris-based atelier that specializes in recreating 18th century domino papers. A short-lived and almost forgotten decorative art, domino papers were ornate hand-blocked papers created in the 1700s by France’s guild of paper makers, or dominotiers. Commonly found lining boxes or as decorative papers in books, domino papers were also the precursor to wallpaper, used to adorn the walls of small corridors and alcoves. Antoinette Poisson was founded by a pair of heritage restorers with the simple mission to preserve these traditional print-making techniques while also reviving an appreciation for the beauty of domino papers through their line of textiles, wallpapers and stationery. One of the brand’s original creations, Pointes features a vintage-inspired geometric motif in shades of cream, black and goldenrod. We’ve paired this print with a solid neutral linen backing, a hidden zipper closure and a plush down and feather insert.
