This vintage-inspired features a beautifully patterned linen fabric from Antoinette Poisson — a Paris-based atelier that specializes in recreating 18th century domino papers. A short-lived and almost forgotten decorative art, domino papers were ornate hand-blocked papers used to line boxes, books and the walls of small alcoves and corridors in 18th-century homes, created by France’s guild of paper makers, or dominotiers. Founded by a pair of heritage restorers, Antoinette Poisson is dedicated to preserving the dominotiers’ traditional print-making techniques while also reviving an appreciation for the beauty of domino papers through their line of textiles, wallpapers and stationery. Our Torrent Pillow features a reproduction of an original mid-18th century floral design in neutral tones with eye-catching pops of blue, red and orange. We’ve paired this print with a solid neutral linen backing fabric, a hidden zipper closure and a plush down and feather pillow insert for soft, sink-in comfort.
