A short-lived and almost forgotten decorative art, domino papers were ornate hand-blocked papers used to line boxes, books and the walls of small alcoves and corridors in 18th-century homes, created by France’s guild of paper makers, or dominotiers. Founded by a pair of heritage restorers, Antoinette Poisson is dedicated to preserving the dominotiers’ traditional print-making techniques while also reviving an appreciation for the beauty of domino papers through their line of textiles, wallpapers and stationery.
