The Wassily Chair combines a tubular chromed steel frame with aniline leather slings across the seat, backrest, and armrests. Aniline leather retains the hide's natural grain and develops a patina over time, while the polished chrome tubing provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant structure. The intersecting frame geometry creates a cantilevered form that supports the body with minimal material.
