The 45 Chair features top grain leather upholstery in dark brown, wrapped over a seat and backrest that sit independently from the natural ash frame. Its floating construction, introduced at the Copenhagen Cabinetmaker's Guild Exhibition in 1945, separates the upholstered forms from the wooden structure, a detail that defines the chair's architectural character. The natural ash frame is shaped with softly tapered legs and curved armrests, complementing the smooth, durable leather surface.
