The Capitol Complex chair features an oak wood frame with Vienna straw seat and backrest that provide natural comfort and breathability. Its coplanar legs ensure stability while the independent construction pieces create architectural simplicity. The clean lines reflect minimalist design principles with structural integrity.
Found in the offices of the Secretariat Building in Chandigarh's Capitol Complex, the 'Capitol Complex' chair was developed by Italian brand Cassina in tribute to Pierre Jeanneret, cousin of Le Corbusier and designer of a host of furniture throughout the complex. Defined by independent pieces that include an oak wood frame, a Vienna straw seat and backrest, and coplanar legs, the chair manages to be both simple and powerful. The 'Capitol Complex' cushion is not included, but is purchasable separately below.
